Jorge Mendes praises Lamine Yamal. Spanish and Barcelona wonder kid, Lamine Yamal has already been tipped to become great and good as the 5-times Balon d’Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Jorge Mendes, who represents Cristiano Ronaldo and Lamine Yamal, has tagged Yamal to become as good as the former Real Madrid talisman.
At 17, the young winger is already better than Ronaldo and Messi. The Barcelona winger celebrated his 17th birthday last July, which was on the eve of his helping Spain win the Euro 2024 cup ahead of England. He had already been the best Barcelona player the previous season before the Euros.
Both Messi and Ronaldo had already started their debut at the age of 17 but were recognized as best for their respective clubs years later.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is the best in history, he is unique. He was, he is and he will continue to be. If there is someone now who can be like him, that would be Lamine Yamal, but in the future,” Mendes told Marcathis week.
“He is the one with the most talent and the one with the most possibilities of doing things well. He can win several Balon d’Or.”
Jorge Mendes referred to the instance when Cristiano Ronaldo told a packed World Cup press to drink water instead of Coca-Cola drink. This is the example Lamine has to follow if he dreams of fulfilling his natural talent to the highest point.
“Cristiano is the best. I have always thought so. He is an example, in training, in nutrition, work on the field and off the field. He is an example to explain what should be done,” Mendes explained.
“Football is not just about coming and scoring goals. There are many things behind it. The agent has to be there and help the player succeed.”
