A huge victory for Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea at the Bridge against Brentford has seen the Blues move to second position on the EPL table. Chelsea 2-1 Brentford as Cucurella and in-form Jackson secures the 3 points for the host.

Chelsea broke the deadlock right before half-time after Marc Cucurella headed a fine cross into the net. The Blues were pretty dominant within the opening period, but Brentford almost took them by surprise after they failed to convert numerous chances against the Blues.

A change in tactics from Maresca helped the Blues grab the win at the Bridge on Sunday evening. Nicolas Jackson’s goal came in with about 10 minutes to stoppage. Bryan Mbeumo pulled one back for Brentford in the 90th minute.
