Several missed chances from Barella and Marcus Thuram saw the Italian side gaining confidence to break the deadlock but it was to no avail as Erling Haaland almost headed home a fine cross from Savinho.
In the opening 30 minutes, Haaland was vibrant in the game as he missed a couple of chances. After heading directly into Simmer’s arm, Haaland placed a curled shot past the keeper which almost saw the hosts taking the early lead.
Jeremy Doku came to replace Bernardo Silva in the second half as he almost broke the deadlock for the Cityzens.
Inter Milan plays rivals, AC Milan on Sunday evening at home. The Italian side are 3rd on the league table with 2 points margin between leaders, Udinese. ManchesterCity on the other hand hosts Arsenal on Sunday afternoon at the Etihad.
