The former Liverpool boss, Jürgen Klopp ends coaching career after ruling out a possible move to become the head coach of the England National Team. He said, “as of today, that’s it for me as a coach”.
The talk of the town at the moment, aside the Victor Osimhen-Lukaku swap deal, is the interview from former Liverpool boss, Jürgen Klopp. Jurgen Klopp has ruled out a possible return to coaching in the near future after being asked about the vacant job at the England National Team. He revealed these at a German Football Coaches Association meeting in Wuerzburg. The former Borrusia Dortmund and Liverpool boss disclosed that, “I didn’t decide to stop on a whim, it was a general decision.”
Jürgen Klopp officially announced his departure from Liverpool in an interview by the club’s media at the end of the 2023-24 season. After 23 years in club management, he has finally decided to have some rest.
Upon his departure, he was linked to the coaching job at FC Barcelona, who had then been informed about Xavi’s decision to leave the club as head coach at the end of the season. He was recently linked to the vacant position at the England National Team after Gareth Southgate resigned following the 2-1 defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final in Berlin. That is a back-to-back loss for Gareth Southgate in a Euro final, after he lost to Italy in the 2020 final on penalties.
