The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League Season Starting Date Has Been Confirmed By The Ghana Football Association.
The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season will kick off on Friday, September 6, 2024, as announced by the Ghana Football Association. The season consists of 34 game weekends, with no official midweek games confirmed yet. The schedule for all 306 matches has been released by the Ghana Football Association on their website and via the GFA’s social media outlets.
The early announcement of the start date for the league is to give clubs, players, and all stakeholders ample time to prepare for the upcoming season, which promises to be thrilling and action-packed.
Midweek matches will be used to clear outstanding games by clubs participating in the 2024/25 Africa Inter Club Competitions or rescheduled games. According to the GFA, this policy aims to lessen the travel burden on clubs.
Due to the December general elections in the country, the League will go on a week-long break to enable players and officials to have the chance to exercise their civil rights.
The season, scheduled to conclude on June 8, 2025, will give clubs ample time to perform CAF’s registration requirements ahead of their participation in the 2025–26 season.
Fans are already looking forward to the new campaign, and with that come hopes of winning the title, qualifying for Africa, or simply maintaining Premier League status. Sponsors and stakeholders of the Premier League are looking forward to an exciting season with the Champion of Champions slated for Sunday, September 1, 2024.
